Always make new mistakes

Esther Dyson

Have you ever felt afraid of making mistakes?

Do you wonder what it would be like if you could be perfect?

The courage to pioneer and learn is a journey full of making mistakes. It never feels good to fail. It often feels embarrassing, overwhelming and vulnerable.

But just as a child learns to walk and they fall over and over, trying desperately to find their feet again. Resilience and strength come in the attitude of rising, rather than the pain of falling.

We are strengthened in the midst of failure.

Perspective and wisdom arrive when we accept the loss of imperfection.

If we keep playing it safe in an arena that we are super comfortable in, we will never feel the sheer satisfaction of doing something we never thought we could achieve.

When was the last time you failed?

If it has been a long time coming, then maybe it is time to try something you have never done again and always be looking for ways to grow.
