Kinwomen founder Kelley Chisholm will be speaking for the city of Mandurah on the 14th of March. The topic for her presentation is on ‘Optimistic Parenting’.

The focus of the free seminar is for the new cultural shift in our society towards the FIFO lifestyle.

No one is in any doubt about how challenging it is to be a parent but too often the word ‘challenge’ is interpreted as performance, fear, guilt and doubt. When these perspectives overwhelm us then parenting becomes a high-risk task rather than an imperfect adventure. This session will focus on the foundations of ‘optimistic parenting’ – trusting yourself, allowing for differences, avoiding comparison and accepting mistakes.
